To Aaron:

You make me want to write a poem

full of emotions, words and joy

a cliche, silly story

about a girl and a boy

Oh! that the words would come to me

so I may say what I want with rhyme

A little record of friendship

God is recording in His time

I don't know what He has in store

Nor can I see what His plans say

But He promises good for us

and that tells me we'll be okay

You are a wonderful friend

that I'm ejoying getting to know

You make me smile, and then laugh

mutiple times in a row

My favorite part about you

is your desire to know the Lord

You challenge me to have more faith

and grow more in His word

It is such great adventure:

The Lord, you and me

As He helps us mature and grow

Into who He knows we can be

So we'll walk on this journey

With God holding our hands

We'll do all kinds of crazy stuff

Like rock out to 80's bands

There, the emotions translated to words

And I was able to write them down

God helped me with interpreting

to turn it into a rhythmic sound!
