Abandoned

So many things I thought I did wrong

constantly wondering if he would ever call

a dad is supposed to be your hero

but mine was a nightmare

Drugs ruined him

and he ruined me.

but the sad thing is he would never see

just how bad his actions affected me

A pathological liar is what he had become

didn't care about anyone else

he was the only one

So many women would come and go

dating one, two, three at a time

all while not caring about the effect

it had on his daughters

Willing to hurt anyone in his way

he would steal whatever he could

but at this point, all you can do is pray

In a way, I am thankful

for all he has done to hurt me

because if it wasn't for that

I wouldn't have become the strong

woman I am today.
