Abandoned

Fri, 01/22/2016 - 22:06 -- pdowker

Joy filled tears rolls down her face

Uncertain tears streams down her own

Crying, wailing, but then comforted by the

Tenderness against her mother's breast

The little body is wrapped in the soft sheet

Cradled in arm of her angel

She cried softly, no more then a whimper

Feeling of the hard, cold earth beneath

The soft spot on the back of her head

She waited, but soon began to fade

The sun took the color from her ivory skin

She thirsted for hydration, lusted for affection

None of what her mother left her with

This little one started alone

Abandoned
