ABC's of Toxic Relationships

Acting okay.

Asking for forgiveness,

Always pretending.

Broken heart.

Bridges burnt.

Baby, wait please.

Crying for hours.

Cutting off everyone.

Can you ever forgive me?

Delivered messages,

Do not disturb.

Down for you.

Decide what you want

Don’t do this.

Effort loss.

Everything has changed.

End is near.

Falling apart.

Forgetting to appreciate.

Find yourself with others.

Fuck, just fuck.

Gather my thoughts,

Guessing games.

Going ghost

Give me your all again.

Gotta go.

How can I be better?

Happiness unheard of.

Have to try harder.

How have you been?

Help.

I love you.

I hate you.

I don’t know,

Jealous rage

Justifying actions

Just go.

Keeping you hostage

Kill them with kindness

Kiss me goodbye

Let’s just be friends!

Least of your problems.

Listening to the lies like a lullaby.

Maybe turns into yes

Making it seem okay,

Meeting someone new.

Nothing lasts forever

Nobody told me this is how it would be.

Next time, next time.

Out of love,

On to the next.

Others aren’t you.

People change,

Pills to numb the pain.

Partying til the skies turn grey

Pick me, choose me.

Questioning loyalty,

Quietly waiting.

Quick to assume

Read no reply.

Ready to leave,

Reaching the breaking point.

Say that you are done.

Separate the real from the fake.

See the pain in their eyes.

Taking it all in,

Today is the end

Tomorrow we will start again.

Underestimating me

Unfazed by your actions

Unknown numbers call.

Vacancy for the place you had in my life.

Victim to your abuse.

Vivid image of who you really are.

Wandering eyes,

Waiting up for you.

Well guess this is it.

Xenophobia to the stranger you have become.

Xerox the screenshots to show the things you said.

Xenobiotics to rid you from my life,

You’ll never find another me.

Yell to get the point across,

Yearn from something that is better.

Zoned out,

Zip through confrontation

Zag through the miscommunication.

This poem is about:
My community
Our world
