This Ability

Disability.

That’s what I have.  Not what I am.

This ability.

To express myself.

Words flow onto the page.

Disability.

Running wears me thin.

This ability.

To lead and love.

To give everything.

This disability doesn’t define me.

My legs are weak so my heart can grow strong.

This disability gave me this ability.

To love and learn.

To share my strength.

This ability.
