About Me

I am big

I am too tall

I am too wide

I am too much for you

But that’s fine.

I love myself.

I love my body, and the way my arms jiggle when I wave at my friends. I love my hair, and the way it crosses in the wind. I love my scars, because they show how far I’ve come. and I love my stretch marks, because they are like tiger stripes and make me feel beautiful.

Perhaps one day, I won’t be big in a sense. Perhaps one day, my thighs will no longer touch. Perhaps one day, you will decide I’m small enough for you to handle. But honey, I will never be small. I am the rings around Saturn. I am the moon in the night sky. I am big. I am me.
