Above

        Strong, Loyal foremother

Are you really gone?

Or are you in a better place?

Or is my mind manipulating me to feel that you are gone for real?

I try not to miss you

But it gets harder everyday…

I wish I could see you one more time,

Hearing the softness of your voice again…

I’m talking to you like you are still here

Right next to me,

Are you the brightness of the sunlight?

In the stained glass windows?

Is it your voice I hear when the wind blows in the trees?

Is it your disapproval I feel in a loud clap of thunder?

You are still here with me

When you “Above”

Looking down on me

Seeing me live my life

When you are

“Above”
