Above and Beyond

For my first time,

I went above and beyond

And of this idea,

I grew quite fond.

Being above the clouds so high;

Being above all the hatred and such;

Being above the city so busy,

As the clouds covered us with their love.

I only discovered that the city so loud

And all of the hatred and such,

Would soon, eventually

Have to come back to us.

I longed to be with the clouds again

Where they seemed to never end.

To the pilot, a hand I might lend,

Only to be Above and Beyond again
