Abraham's Test by M.D.
He caught my eye because,
He was lonely, without anybody nearby
He was quiet, unlike the rest
He looked as though we could have common interests
He was going to change my life
I became his friend,
Because he seemed nice
He seemed to always be honest
He was always there to help me through hard times
He needed me, a lot
I fell for him,
He seemed nice enough
I wanted to be more than friends
I wanted him to fall as well
I waited for a year to tell him
He turned me down,
Because he liked my best friend
And he “didn’t want to hurt me”
He fell for other people as well
But never for me
I settled as being friends,
I wanted to be around him always
I figured I needed his support and he needed mine
I hoped that he could change his mind
We were friends for a long time
He lied and left me in the dust,
I don’t know why he did it
I woke up and he was gone
I was devastated
Until I realized he needed me more than I’d ever needed him
