Absent

I stretch out my hand to you, my words catching in the wind, as if tangled in a spider's lace

only for you to move away and leave my hand to weep in the empty air

my fingers curl in an attempt to grasp what is not there,

my eyes looking upon the far off sun, and like a shooting star, my hand falls from grace.
