Absent Minds

If you don’t care, then why should we?

School has enough uncertainty.

If we like school, we are called nerd,

If we don’t, our future’s absurd.

The clown gets your laughs and attention,

If I’m late once I get detention.

We’re told to think outside the box,

But my ideas only get mocks.

You assign us group projects

We only learn we’re rejects.

Good morals are not so rigid,

But here everything is cited.

There’s nothing left of my free will.

Speak up, shut up, sit still, its overkill.

You sit at your desk and stare

How can we think you care?

No one out there shows me this is beneficial.

If you don’t ever, then who will?
