Absolute Magnitude

Like all life, born from everlasting blackness

she was

A valued aspect of her was not here

and she did not know what it was

she longed for

Parading around her emptiness with no purpose

as so many stars shone brightly around her

Each star was in line with its trajectory,

its future clear set for it to travel

around its avenue

Envious of those stars she looked inside herself,

searching for her eternal greatness

her calling in the void

Brought up by self-devotion

and might

she spiraled to her height

She was devoured by confidence

strong as truth, sharp as lies

Born before, but now a brazen beauty.

Her own star to match the others

She is in orbit
