The Absolute Truth


You often know when something isn't going to go your way

The funny thing is,

I am very good at lying to myself.

I can trick my own heart into thinking that,

yes...this is going to work

But it wouldn't. 

See I know how rejection looks.

And I lie to myself to convince myself

No, I say,everything is still the same.

Thou shalt not tell lies.

But who is there left to lie to,

When I convinced myself that I am the truth.

Lies aren't a good word for what I've been telling myself.

More like,

Not the absolute truth
