Abstract

Abstract

I’d say sorry, but I don’t know what for.

I’d say hold me, but I’d end up on the floor.

And I’d say leave me and you’d open up the door.

And I’d walk away by myself.

I’d say I love you, but you won’t say it back.

I’d say drive slowly, but we’d run right off track.

And my blood runs cold, but our hearts beat fast.

Cause our love is abstract.

An artform and a skillset.

Brain games, demonic ways

Making portraits out of broken glass panes.

Careful not to cut myself.

I want you and no one else.

But I’ll leave my broken heart on the shelf.

To display like Picasso in an art museum.

And I’ll look at you.

You’ll look at me.

Two lovers, One broken heart, an abstract master piece.
