Abu Dhabi, Jewel of the Desert
Alqubulat ealaa alkhadi — a kiss upon the cheek,
Ahlan, Abu Dhabi,
Where the desert hums in golden whispers,
And the sea answers with sapphire hymns.
City of lights, where fountains dance like playful children,
Spilling laughter on Yas Island and Al Reem.
Does the moon envy your skyline,
Where glass towers rise like silver palms,
Reaching for the eternal sun?
The Corniche stretches,
A ribbon of turquoise and foam,
Its waves like messengers bringing secrets
From faraway horizons.
And on Kai Beach, the Hawksbill sea turtles
Bury their dreams in white sands —
Does nature not bow in reverence to your shore?
Saadiyat gleams with penthouses,
Like crowns of marble queens,
Sparkling under daylight’s caress,
While twilight paints them in amethyst sighs.
O Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque,
You smile in marble,
Your domes radiant as pearls
Spilled from heaven’s necklace.
Gold and crystalline chandeliers sway —
Stars borrowed from the Milky Way,
Suspended in stillness.
And that vast Persian carpet —
A field where silence kneels in prayer,
Where every thread hums a sacred hymn.
Abu Dhabi,
Your streets are poetry inked in sunlight,
Your nights are lullabies sung by the gulf breeze.
Who can walk your paths
And not feel kissed by eternity?
Who can gaze upon your face
And not call you Beloved?
O city,
You are not just a place,
You are a promise —
A flame that dances yet never dies,
A jewel set forever in Arabia’s crown.
