Abuse is very expensive.

Sure, it may at first seem

Cost-effective,

But the victim must pay the full price

Eventually.

Whether with one’s sanity,

Or security,

Or even one’s life,

The tab will always be paid in full.

For the abuser, however:

They get a discount.
