Abused
The bruises have faded, the scars are disappearing
he no longer is in her life
she got the chance to run, hide, to set herself free
the pain is still there
the words, the yelling, the memories, they don't fade
anything can set her back into a flashback
she jumps at sounds, yelling, cruel words, and when people are angry
the pain is still there
she hid it for so long
every scar, bruise, mental breakdown, and the tears
she is not the same person she used to be
the pain is still there.
