Accept Me Please

I hate being a deception in your eyes.

I hate you seeing me with those kinds of eyes.

I am no longer the same

I know this sounds lame.

I am not lost that can be found.

Believe me when you hear the sound.

We are different in many ways

But that doesn’t mean we can’t sway.

I’m a disappointment… that I know

But half of my life do I owe

Been trying to get back

But I’ve lost my pack.

I am no longer the same,

it is me you reject.

No one to blame

I’ve just been wrecked.

Tried and tried to reconnect

But I have failed once again.

Stop trying to correct

This is I to the brain.

Just come to accept me for heavens sake

And help me end this aging ache.

I’m trying to change

But I stay strange.

Control I must

So should trust

But I can’t help it when I bust.

Empathetic I am,

And I give a damn

I can’t help it when I slam.

Though I have changed and tamed

In your eyes I am always framed

I will never be seen as anything that isn’t blamed.

That is now the name I have claimed.

If you would stop trying to raise me as you please

Maybe one day we could ease.

Second mother will you always be

Just please accept me wild and free

Tired of fights yes I am

Also arguments that are a scam

Sorry, I’m sorry for being me

That’s the only apology that you need.

Nothing I do will ever be good.

Believe me I’ve tried to flee.

But instead I have plead

And here everyone reads

All of my creeds

While I stand and bleed.

I’m no good.

I’m a damned foul

Imperfection at its finest

Well I guess I’m the dynast.

Here you go

Let me woe.

A disoriented, cruel, ignorant soul

I am lost and no longer whole.

Stop seeing me as a beast

And accept a little of me at least.

If you would just see how I aspire to be

Maybe you would jump with glee

But eyes that are not open cannot see

All that’s in front of thee.

Accept me for me.

Accept me to be free.

I cannot emphasize this more

But I am on the floor on all four.

I hope this will end

And we’ll mend…

Just accept me please.
