Acceptance

All i ever wanted was for you to love me
But i got ranted instead.

You blame me for what I'm natural at
walking down the runway
being in the spotlight.

You say I'm good for nothing
but you haven't seen my talent yet.

You blame me for being with mom
Turning out more like her
And less like you.

All i ever wanted was for you to notice me
Praise my accomplishments.

I apologize for screwing up,
But i get sneered instead
Someday i hope you'll accept it.

I whisper one last time "I love you dad"
But you never heard.

Now I'm gone
And you can only blame no one
But yourself.
