Acceptance

(poems go here) So just go ahead kick me while I’m down. Push me, shove me, knock me over, I’ll just roll with the punches like I always do. Punch me, knock me out, I don’t care I’ve always been life’s punching bag.I’m sorry I tried so hard, I’m sorry I gave it more than you think, I’m sorry I’m not what you want me to be. I know I let you down, I tried,I truly did. I know I’m not good enough, I know I never was, I know I never met your expectations just please give me this, just please give me this one small thing, all I ask for is your acceptance.

I was just feeling very upset one day after a phone conversation with my mother. I have never felt like I had ever fully achieved her acceptance with anything I have done in my life and well this was the turnout.
