Acceptance

Being accepted, is it so hard?

It's like adopting a dog, but leaving him in the yard.

Sucks to be bullied in this society;

Hurts even more that my parents don't even love me.

I love the way I am, and very content with being gay;

Though I hate how others treat me a different way.

Losing friends, slammed into lockers, and being called queer;

Feels like I should've stayed in the closet, since I started my teen years.

I wish someday...just someday, we can all love each other;

Accept various races, sexualities, interests and act like sister and brother.

It shouldn't be like this, for taking a different route;

Honestly I consider choosing the option, of the coward's way out.
