Acceptance

He broke a smile that only the glittering heavens could compare to,

with golden green eyes that sent a shudder down her back.

Not of fear, but of wonder; questions of which golden gates he'd broke through with thunder,

and how she had managed to mirror that joyous smile back.

For though her mind kept her from pushing love along,

her entire body ached for love's dying song.

Her lungs so filled with flesh red emotion she would gasp for air.

Her eyes so wide with hope for something that would never be truly there

Oh, but her thoughts, how did they scramble,

for something more than a forlorn heart's gamble.

How did they race to discover a new point of view,

to escape the inevitable truth they subconciously knew.

That though her heart, so loyal and full,

would shatter at the boat named Acceptance's hull.
