Acceptance
A kiss of water and salt seals unspoken words,
I feel the trace of an unsent letter on my lips.
Asphyxiated by the protection of our integrity,
At the expense of my serenity.
Grasping onto a shred of what once was,
Trying so hard not to hold on too tight.
I know that you let go.
