Acceptance of Change

Quietly the whispers of the trees

Start to envelope my ears,

Softly does the wind brush against my face

Making me think of things from past years,

But as I listen to it’s light and beautiful sound.

I wonder if my heart is still hurt

If the past has lessened my worth,

Even so I still follow the song of the trees

Falling apart ,dropping to my knees,

I realize how consumed I am by the truth

Consumed by the essence of my youth,

Hopeful of what I wish to come true.

The Song echos throughout my heart

Making it beat faster,

Changing the sweet symphony in my mind,

Making the rhythm follow a different beat,

Changing it slowly overtime.

Th trees taught me a valuable lesson,

That in order to live your life

You must not sink into depression,

Their song taught me this truth despite my hearts desire

Lifting me up away from the fire,

And now as I think back to before

I’m very grateful for the song that pushed me to open the door.
