Acceptance Is Key

She smiles in the mirror.

  He screams through the glass.

She knows people love her.

He hopes the pain won’t last.

She dresses up with a sigh

He feels trapped beneath the lie.

Inside she knows she's going to die.

He sees a light shine between the cracks.

She knows the truth and has to face the facts.

The shackles break from his wrists.

he looks in the mirror no longer in the abyss

He smiles at the glass to the face he sees

“Finally I'm free Free to be me.”
