Accepting Me

Dear Self,

For the longest I have been scared to talk to you and accept you fully like I should. Yet now after you have gone through so much with me, along side me, and never truly leaving me. I feel it is only right to give you the acknowledgement you deserve. I put you in a place where you had to hide since you were a small girl and now I am letting you breathe again. You had to act grown up when you were just a kid and it cost you. It cost you your ability to be a child until you were saved. You held in all your emotions from every situation you’ve been in from foster system, losing the connection with your biological mother, adoption, break ups, moving so many times, and heart break. All of those challenges have shaped you and made you a better person even if you don’t see it in yourself. You have always from the earliest of your day put people you love before you. Did anything they needed even if you did not have it to give. Most times you gave love and understanding from a glass that wasn’t even full for you. Yet you chose to fill others glasses. You gave the last of yourself. Now its time to start focusing in on what you need. The start of that is recognizing what you’ve been through what we have been through. The deepest dark parts of me have come out and are ready to play. But you are done hiding. You had sealed away all the negative things said to you in the past. Not letting the ones now get to you. Remember you are an ARIES. Powerful. Strong. Caring. Determined. Relentlentles!
