The accident

What's deadlier?
The gun or the thought?
The gun causes the pain
The thought pulls the trigger.
1, 2, 3.
Do you see what I see?
Lost another one
And we're looking fine
But little do they know inside we're dying.
The blood drips down our wrists
But we're just cold.
4, 5, 6.
That late night call.
A scream for help hidden behind words.
I didn't know.
I didn't know.
The words in this world hurt
And we don't mind sticks and stones
I just didn't know.
Don't hang up.
7, 8, 9.
You sounded fine.
How was I to know?
The gun to your head on the other line.
But you sounded fine.
10...
It was the end.
I didn't know.
I should have known.
Just a memory now.
Sleep well my dear friend
I will fight until the end.
With my battle scars.
I should have known.
Tell me again
Which is deadlier.
The gun or the thought.
The gun can make pain
The thought pulls the trigger.
