Accomplished

Like the overturned hourglass that unearthed the dead Like the good things we work for to get further ahead No matter how hard we strive to overcome a task A "setback" comes to life that we unknowingly unmasked But who am I to cry if I fall short upon completion At least I tried as hard I could and that's a good enough reason To try again and work harder like i never did before The greater risk that I take leaves me with a better prize not found in stores. The prize is that I accomplished what I wanted The glory and I, myself, bonded "I'm proud to see that you done it, my baby worked so hard" These were the words that my mom said to me as her eyes shine like the nearest stars So, what will I do next, I don't really know But fear is the only thing that could halt my flow But no I refuse to let anything stop me I wrote a mere page in history, but I'm far from done Like an epilogue in a book, my story has just begun
