Ace
There once was a puppy named Ace
Whom I just loved to embrace
He was the kindest dog you would ever meet
We liked to call him happy feet
The way he danced when someone entered the room
He was a ball of energy, as most would assume
We referred to him as the family clown
He reminded us of Lionel from Charlie Brown
The way he carried his blanket everywhere he went
I suppose it had that certain scent
Toys with stuffing did not last too long
But we did not get mad at him for what he did wrong
I love you Ace
In my heart, you have a special place
There is no other dog quite like you
How much I love you, I only wish you knew
