I feel like who I am in the dark

is someone unlike myself

my thoughts start to race

and my mind starts to chase

after the thoughts

that will never be written down

because the words are coming fast

and the emotions stay still

the darkness is leaking

like paint onto me

the silence is gone

the darkness is here

leaving me simply

with a ringing in my ear

breathe out to be stardust

breathe in to be free
