It burns the skin
These tears of sin
Like acid rain, the years the pain
The hands that touched the naked thigh
Holding my breath until I died
The never ending weeping inside
Like acid rain the weeping the pain
The black and blue
The silent death
The shallow breath
The silent scream
The endless scene
I’m dead
I’m dead
Like acid rain
The years the pain
It burns the skin
The tears of sin
The years slip by
No escaping from what’s inside
It breaths it gasps until it dies.

Usually, rain is symbolic of renewal and rebirth, but you add another element, acid, to the rain in this poem. Thus, you take rain from representing rebirth to representing destruction, showing how everything is capable of having a negative side.

I feel your emotion through my computer. My heart started thumping to the beat I was reading.
