Acid Rain

As acid rain
Passes through my lips,
Your signature glare
Burns through my soul.

Love comes,
Love goes,
Love dies,
We grow.

Through trial and intuition,
Life is made clear.
As the end draws closer,
So does our fear.

The darkness closes in,
Black as our hearts.
We failed to set things right,
And so we failed from the start.

As the acid rain falls,
So do we.
