Across The Highway

I felt this connection

With the boy across the street

He kept walking on the opposite side

But I felt like he was walking with me

As I found a place to sit

I found him still walking on his side

With a cigarette in between his lips

As he sat down

Across the busy highway

We were staring at each other

But there was still silent say

As the cigarette burnt out

He got up

And walked a different route

And I'm still hoping

He'll turn around

And we can be on the same territory

And have a sound
