As I sit down to write

The screen screams nothing but cold, bright

No soft feather pen feather soft words on yellowing pages

The yellow pages hold all the names and all the numbers but no one lives at home

Not anymore

We exist in the cyberspace

I like to like your picture but what does it mean?

No one "likes" your personality

Your inner soul remains inner

The exterior spills over onto intangible pages

What can we hold onto?

Babies learn to hold onto iPads before their mother's hand

No emotion behind a game

No emotion behind the eyes of the new generation

Letters on a keyboard, numbers to simplify the extreme universe

Power on

Lights up

No action beyond the screen

Life is more than LED lights

Life is more than the silly status "Like for a 'to be honest'"

No one can say it to their face

We are constantly connected but there is no connection

We can feel the warmth of our computers more than the warmth of the hand we love

Love

We have forgotten what that means

Instead of finding it, we romanticize and fantisize

We will never find it on a Tumblr page

Why don't you tumble into the real world for a change?

Change

Power down

Lights out
