Actions are Love

Feeling a warm embrace instead of a bitter touch, 

because I love you. 

 

Honesty rather than manipulation,

because I love you. 

 

Encouraging words over spewing doubt, 

because I love you. 

 

Trust instead of skepticism, 

because I love you.

 

Wanting to hit the notes to our duets instead of hitting you, 

because I love you.

 

Care towards your needs over selfishness, 

because I love you. 

 

Lifting you up rather than forcing you down, 

because I love you. 

 

Welcome your differences rather than critique them, 

because I love you. 

 

Getting you to be yourself over the fear of opening up, 

because I love you. 

 

Love is an action I devote to showing you everyday, 

BECAUSE I LOVE YOU.
