An Active Imagination

Cindy was in a daze, Her mind was a maze. Mental companions created to entertain her days. Where she was kept, The only life she saw Were the animals who crept around on their paws. Only once let out To scrub the grout, Then it was back in the attic she crawled. For she only knew How to walk on four, Not two, because “The tall” treated her poor. She never saw them, She was stashed away. Only freed to clean, while “The tall” had left the scene. Until one day, She escaped.
