The Actual Meaning

Once upon a time, long long ago

Sat a young man, whose anger did grow.

He did not like society, didn’t like it all

In fact if it was up to him, they all would fall.

He was sick and tired of the things they would say,

About women and their weaknesses and how men should always get their way.

He decided it was time, much past time in fact

For him to compose something that would make a real impact.

So piece after piece he wrote and wrote,

About princesses, princes, and castles with moats.

Finishing his satirical masterpieces he nodded with pride,

Wait till they see all of their ridiculousness that I have implied!

For in this story with a girl hair red as blood,

They’ll recognize women shouldn’t leave their family just to marry some stud.

And in this one with a young lady’s hair snow white,

A women can save herself without a man, they will fight.

However, I have also included stories with princesses to aspire for,

Like a beauty falling in love with a beast’s mighty roar

Because she knows what’s on the inside is all she needs to admire.

Or a girl who marches off to war with a personality like fire,

Who risks it all for her family and her nation.

After all isn’t that all I would want for my creation?

Isn’t the reason I write to let some know what they shouldn’t think,

And let others love my characters because they just sync?

For if so I have met both of these goals,

And I hope in doing so I have saved some souls.
