The Addict

Trace your fingers along my skin

And feel the fire that burned within

Feel my pain as it tortured me

And feel the scars it carved in me

I feel the memories beneath them

As they are there to hold the memories

Why did the pain get to me?

Why the craving for red entranced me?

The answer lies within the void of darkness

Oh, how I do not regret these decisions

Nor do I want to erase the memories

For they are a part of me and will always be

Now you know a part of the story….
