Addicted
You know it’s wrong once you’ve done it
All up until you do it again.
Your mind - your heart - your spirit doesn’t want it,
But your body does.
Fifteen seconds to lapse is all it takes
And then your spirit dies.
You cry the first time, maybe the second too
And carry the nothing,
Until someone comes
and picks you up,
So you can fall again.
