Addiction

I love my dad. I don’t love his addiction.

I wish you could see all that I can be

All that I have become

And all that I am

The person that I am is because of you

The things you said and the things you did

I didn’t understand when I was ten

Now that I see all that you should be

All that you have become

And all that you are

In the sky, way up high

There you lay

And now I have to pay

I have a lot to say

But nothing comes out that way

I love you for everything that you were

I love you for everything that you are

Thats why I am here today
