Addiction

Pretty little girl

With the beautiful green eyes

You grew up way too fast

And fell to your demise

You thought it was a game

You were only having fun

But it went too far

And now your life is done

Should’ve listened to your momma

Won’t she be sad?

To lose your pretty little face,

To a stupid fad?

Why did you believe him?

His words were only lies

Lies that you soaked up,

That led to your demise

He said he’d make you beautiful

He said he’d make you strong

But in the end he lied to you

You found out he was wrong

Oh, pretty little girl

Your life is now through

And all because you thought

You knew exactly what to do

And while you were sitting there

Having all your fun

Your addiction took over

And now he’s finally won
