Addiction.

Addiction. Is an evil thing

He’s your friend but he’s also your foe

He holds out his hand waiting for you to jump

Your body begs but your mind disagrees

He smiles when he sees you’ve given in

Entwining your hand with his,

He takes you to a place where you’ve never gone

You feel as if the world is in the palm of your hand

But at some point you must have fallen asleep

Everything goes black and you suddenly can’t breathe

You start to fall down so deep you aren’t sure if you’re alive

He lets your hand drop and you start to cry

He kisses your head and says ‘This isn’t goodbye’
