addiction
stuck in a hard place, smoking a rock
i start to pace, losing weight hoping i stop
hoping i drop, my soul is closed in a box
im locked up watching the clock slowly toc-
tic-toc thick knots turn into big rocks quick
then all im left with are sick thoughts of a crypt
but i cant verbalize them, its hard to speak
i wanna cry but I wont cuz my heart is weak
my minds eye is clouded, dark and bleak
put the stem to my lips and i start to geek
I recognize that I cant do this solo
got no dough and coke's got me in a chokehold
throwing me to and fro im so low
lost in denial cuz the truth is a no-no
falling in slow-mo, I crash to the Earth
straight through the o-zone, I slam to the dirt
reality hits and i remember it hurts
recovery is the only way that it works
i must ascend, the steps are underneath my feet
at a dead end but i cannot retreat
spiritually defeated and im physically beat
but I know that freedom is within my reach.
