Addiction


The bottle hits her lips And her world tips She stops shaking She stops aching And she feels okay He taps his arm And injects the warm Suddenly it floods his brain Suddenly there is no more pain And he feels okay But soon they need more And another bottle hits the floor And another needle leaves the drawer "This is the last time", they say Until they can't feel okay
