ADDICTION
Just like drugs and alcohol
You pulled me in with a promise
to feel better.
You brought me into a world of feelings
Made me addicted
I'm so hooked it's become mylife.
I do it in the world
Use words with twists and double meanings
composing my thoughts in secret
reiterrating the ideas
When I speak in a language few get
I am writing in hopes to understand
The feelings I have
To deal with my anger and anxiety
Because therapy costs more than I can afford.
and the sound of the keys
tapping as my feelings escape
is better than any tune.
Because reading the work of others and myslef.
In a rhythmic matter makes me feel better
Poetry is to me what sunlight is to humans...
essential.
