"To Addy"
Addy, your fur so soft as satin fibers,
Winding in your skin, I see.
Like a godly gown given to me,
Your bark gives off a holy glee.
Its echoed pitch sings melodies.
Flinging foolishly around your bed,
Your mother comforts thy demented head.
When looking back, memories of youth are a haze,
While I cherished a temporary phase.
But, nothing can ever beat that burning gaze.
Several generous bouts of love
Have given hope to and from.
A rampaged pattern through a set of paws
Have let me see your lovely flaws.
Our home is not a home nor fort,
But a friendly form of puppy's port.
