admiration

it’s hard work

getting to a point where i like what i see

in the tiny screen of

my cell phone.

it’s getting hard

to find new angles

new ways to distort

my image.

at times i have a surge

of confidence

and i suddenly love

everything

about myself.

at times

i can’t find a single thing that i like.

if there is one thing i know

it is this:

no matter how shitty

i felt or looked in the past

there is nothing greater

than loving yourself enough

to pose for pictures

to revel in at later times

and admire yourself

when at your lowest points.
