Admiration from afar

Location

He had the eyes of Horus that blended perfectly with his bronze skin and thick coiled hair.

He resembled an Egyptian God.

Someone who live their life with such lawlessness and anarchy.

I would always stare into his almond shaped dark brown eyes and admire his beautiful features.

Tracing my fingers against his thick, full eyebrows

and then next to his unkempt facial hair.

I would ease my hand up his back and let my fingers freely and

carelessly

engrave hieroglyphs into his soft skin.

While he slept I would stare at him carefully.

Examining every feature of his face.

Counting

every

strand

of

hair

in his eyebrows and eyelashes.

Counting the small knotty hair that ran down the side of his face.

Counting each and every piece of the out of place strands that stuck out from his wild cashmere hair.

Watching his chest rise as he inhaled.

Fingering through his woolly hair.

Laying there.

Watching him.

Watching this human I loved.

More

than

myself.
