the adult depression

all grown up:

the feeling, matured

it isn't about the silver

any more.

it is about the lining

of my bed, sheets

undone.

there are things

to be taken care of:

lines across

a list.

overwhelming

no longer exists,

it takes too much

energy.

it has been replaced

with simple apathy.

the night is no time

to cry, to sleep

it is occupied

with distraction

from the busy

light of day.

this is to make your parents

proud.
