Adulthood

When the time comes when one reaches adulthood

When life goes from a bed of flowers to spikes

When friendships are dissected when broken are sisterhood

When love interest ignores to see you only in likes

When siblings call you cold when you detach from  brotherhood

When you remind teens of their parents alikes

When that time comes one reaches adulthood

When beauty fades when life downhill bikes

When dreams crushed from young childhood

When dreams are empty when dreams not childlike

When the child is gone what’s left adulthood
